Bridgeman Images is excited to announce that it has been chosen to represent the estate of John Miller for copyright, reproduction and licensing.
Born in London, the artist studied and worked as an architect before relocating to West Cornwall in 1958 to become a full time painter. Working from his studio with its magnificent views across the Hayle estuary, John painted his distinctive images of glowing beach and deep blue sky that he is now famous for.
Miller’s art occupies the space between figuration and abstraction and references Rothko and Turner as key influences. Franciscan spirituality was also instrumental to his life and work, describing painting as “an exterior response to an interior vision.”
“We chose Bridgeman Images as we feel they are best placed as leading specialists in the distribution of fine art worldwide, to represent and manage John’s images.”
