NPL photographers Roy Mangersnes and Ole Jorgen Liodden have just published a beautiful new book celebrating the unique landscapes and wildlife of Svalbard. This Norwegian-administered archipelago is the northernmost permanent settlement in the world and also one of the most accessible places in the high arctic to see polar bears, walruses, blue whales and a host of nesting birds.

Roy and Ole Jorgen have both been travelling to Svalbard since 2003 and in 2014 they opened the world’s northernmost photography gallery in Longyearbyen, the administrative centre of Svalbard. They also lead regular photography trips to the region.
